- Select the “Advanced Tab”
- In the incoming mail server update the following information:
- Server – pop.mail.yahoo.com
- Port- 995
- SSL is required as Yes.
- In the Outgoing Mail Server update the following.
- Server- smtp.mail.yahoo.com
- Port 465 or 587
- Required SSL- Yes
- Required TLS – Yes if available
- Required authentication – Yes then Press the OK.
- Let it complete the task, the moment it shows as “Completed” you are all set. If the error occurs then double-check the settings or instead of the POP reconfigure the account as IMAP. If you are trying to set up the account as IMAP the server settings must be updated as follows:
- Incoming Mail Server:
- Server – imap.mail.yahoo.com
- Port – 993
- Required SSL – Yes
- Outgoing Mail (SMTP)Server:
- Server- mail.yahoo.com
- Port – 465 or 587
- Required SSL – Yes
- Requires Authentication – Yes
